And I believe that wellness is
simple: to help your body do what it was made to do,
heal itself.- I believe that we are meant to live a vibrant life.
- That our approach to health should enrich our lives, not limit it.
- That you can blend conventional and holistic medicine.
- That a life of wellness looks different for everyone.
- We can change the future by creating healthy habits for our children.
My story began when I became a registered nurse in a hospital in Minneapolis. I’ve always loved science and learning about the human body. I enjoyed taking care of patients and helping them get better. But after several years of working in intensive care, I became frustrated with our healthcare system. I saw how many of the diseases we were treating could have been prevented. I saw how treating each body system separately was ignoring the big picture. I saw how the “one size fits all” approach to healthcare wasn’t working. Here, my journey of holistic health was born. I started with food - learning how to cook food that nourishes our bodies but tastes good! When I learned I was pregnant, I became hyperaware of everything I exposed my body and baby to. As I worked with my kids’ pediatrician, chiropractor and other practitioners, I learned how to blend conventional medicine with a natural and holistic approach. As my kids began eating solid foods, I learned how to lay the foundation for them to live a life of health. And I'm still learning!
I believe the foundation to health is good nutrition, movement, sunlight and emotional wellbeing. When we figure out how to make these foundational elements a part of our everyday life, we start to live more vibrantly.
My goal is to empower you to make the best decisions for you and your family to live the most vibrant life. The best investment you can make is into you and your family's health.
